Who we are?

InFactory Solutions GmbH (InFy) is a 100% Airbus subsidiary, part of Testia Group, located in Munich Area. InFy develops solutions for automated quality inspection of aircraft components during manufacturing

Our multidisciplinary team groups different competence fields from software, mechanical, electrical engineering

Our challenge is to generalize sensor solutions, especially machine vision systems, for a large range of variations in components geometries, surface quality and materials, e. g. Aircraft "Carbon Fiber" fuselage and wing components (4m² to 100m²)

Our sensor systems are in-house built or customized cameras or Laser scanners for defect detection and object measurement covering the whole process chain. e. g. Monitoring of "Automated Fiber Placement" & "Automated Tape Laying" process

Our systems are integrated in OEM Machines or designed as end-to-end independent solutions with “mobile” interface (industrial robots) to collect and analyze data in Real Time

With the large amount of data and data sources (e. g. cameras, robot) generated and synchronized (images/height profiles with robot positions) through the pipelines, our in-house built software are capable of providing interface to meet different requirements e. g. robot based multi-sensor visual inspection of "Cured Carbon Fiber Airframe"

We also see ourselves as the advocate of raising AI acceptance in a safety critical industry like aerospace

To broaden the expansion of our teams in Munich and Toulouse, we are looking for a full time Python Software Developer in Munich as of now. You will be part of the Machine Vision Team

What will you do?

• Design and implement innovative solutions for quality inspection of aerospace and wind energy components

• Implement and optimize machine vision algorithms

• Integrate your solutions on industrial robots for full-scale validation

• Simulation workloads for faster iterative development

• Work in cross-domain teams to bring a product from experimental status to industry-grade

• Add new features to a well-maintained and tested C++/Python code base with comprehensive CI/CD

Your profile

• Bachelor/Master of Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics degree or equivalent

• Knowledge of recent Python versions (3.9+)

• Source control tools like Git

• CI/CD workflows with GitHub, GitLab or alike

• Docker

• Halcon, OpenCV, Numpy, PyTorch/TensorFlow

• SCADA knowledge could be a plus

• Outstanding team capability, communication, and documentation abilities

• Fluency in English and/or German is required
